Life is full of surprises...! My first contact with data science

When I started Law School 25 years ago, I’ve never thought that one day I would attend a workshop at EPFL dedicated to a… programming language.

Now it’s done… I spent my Saturday learning about « Introduction to Data Analysis with R » thanks to the great work of the EPFL Extension School team who organised various Hands-On Data Worshops this weekend.

A warm thank you to all of them !

This is an additional step towards the achievement of my goal of studying both theoretically and quantitatively the changes faced by the legal system due to digitization.... And, more generally, to better understand these technologies playing an ever increasing role in our society, deeply transforming it, and then to share some insights with you on this blog.

Writing about Data, Digitization & Law 2.0 is a very stimulating adventure but in addition to that, getting my hands on data, making them talk is just a fantastic experience, because these are the two sides of the digitization coin…

And I liked touching the data so much, that I enrolled for an EPFL Extension School online course starting in September: 50 things-you need to know about data.
