What is a good day for you?

For me, a good day is, namely, when a question has been turning in my mind for a while and suddenly, bing, here comes the light.
This applies to any kind of questions, ranging from very serious existential ones, to much lighter ones, such as the one I'm now writing about.
I love definitions. They make things clearer, set the scene in a sense.
These last days were quite buzy, and I didn’t have much extra time to search for my current unanswered definition: "plugins", a word that one can often read these days in relation to ChatGPT.
This morning, the answer was in my email box: a complete, worth a read, article about plugins!
📍 "Plugins are software add-ons that customize and extend the capabilities of an existing program. These small additions, oftentimes created and published by third-party developers, are meant to fulfill specific needs defined by the user that are beyond the scope of the original product."
📍 "Plugins expand the capabilities of LLMs, like ChatGPT, by allowing them access to information not included in their original training data. This gives large language models the potential to be both more accurate and better at task automation."
Thank you Mary Newhauser for this article «Understanding ChatGPT Plugins: Benefits, Risks, and Future Developments. Expect improvement, not perfection» with enlightening explanations and examples.
It's not noon yet, and today is already a good day.
I wish you a very good day, too!
Anne-Sylvie
